Guest DieBees Posted November 15, 2014 Share If anyone hasn't seen the new route at the end of the race (from Malibongwe) I took my camera along this past weekend and filmed it for you. I wanted to check out the road we'd be riding on. " Great video!
GaryvdM Posted November 15, 2014 Share Lest we forget who's in Joburg! http://cdn.velonews.competitor.com/files/2014/11/VosCXWCFinish-659x440.jpg http://cdn.velonews.competitor.com/files/2014/11/VosLaCourseSprint-660x440.jpg I wonder how much the home advantage will swing it to Ashleigh. I think it will be an intresting race. I hope that the womens race gets footage so I can watch this show-down afterwards. (To be honest, I'm not to really intersted in mens race, so can the footage of the mens race, and just show us the womens race please.)
tombeej Posted November 15, 2014 Share Ashleigh is a climber. The 94.7 parcours is tailor-made for a power rider with those 5 short moderate gradient climbs in the last 20 km. They're too short and too easy for a climber to gain any advantage. I went and had a look at the final km to the finish line this morning. Very chilled gradient with flat bits even. Puncheurs will be able to attack from the bottom.
TALUS Posted November 15, 2014 Share I have a paunch - does that make me a Puncheur?
kosmonooit Posted November 15, 2014 Share I don't think Ms Vos is on top form, its more of an appearance ride. And she has just been on holiday and hasn't raced any 'cross as yet this season.
Odinson Posted November 15, 2014 Share Bliksem pal, that must have hurt. She is an yster . She actually has a very moderate build. If you didn't know any better, you wouldn't say she's a champion cyclist. Very plain Jane.

Karooryder Posted November 15, 2014 Share WHAT IS THE PROBLEM?YOU HAVE A BIKE, CYCLE HERE. True that...a slight headwind though - on the other hand perhaps just the thing to warm-up the legs for that hectic first 10km's of the new route... Jay_B Posted November 15, 2014 Share Does anybody know if spectators will be able to watch the finish line? The venue layout only shows the hospitality area next to the finish line?
