How do you get to Mnandi drive from the designated parking area without riding up William Nicol?

Traffic from PTA/West Rand off the N14 will be coming down William Nicol to the parking.

Simply put, the road under construction has to be completed in time. It looks less than 500m to complete, yet the culvert over the stream is still showing.

In case the final section is not tarred in time everything will remain as is but start will be on Mnandi. Can't see how else it can be done unless we have a R4V like section

Hi, I would like to know... whats a good av time to complete the 94.7 in?

my first one last year was in 4 hours, so im hoping for about 3:30.

4 hours is a good time, 3:30 is a great time.

Hope you get there

I drove around the venue on Sunday.

They only really need to complete the bridge at the start to have the start in the correct place with enough of a staging area.

My concern is that the bridge between the finish(most of the parking) and the start is no where near finished.

With all the rain yesterday, that whole area will be a real mess.

There was also no construction happening on Sunday, so either they are confident, or have already started on PLAN B.

Hey Buddy, Distant weather predictions seem  to be in your favour. Max 25 with early morning showers expected.

But we all know that what they weather gods predict and what actually happen aren't always the same thing ;)

I just looked into my crystal ball and this is what I see...

Mostlikely a question discussed earlier, but I somehow missed it even in reading through the thread - "PARKING"

Would it be safe to park at Deipsloot Mall and just cycle to the start?

Or will there be sufficient parking at the venue(I never saw a payment option for parking when I entered earlier this year, in prior years you had to pay for parking)? What will it be like to try and get out afterwards?

Diepsloot mall will be the best when you want your car covered under theft from your insurance.

So if you want a new car, gooi .

I stay in Mnandi and I reckon the only way for me to get there is to head down Summit towards the N14 (reverse of the old route) then turn left down William Nicol, past Diepsloot and the mall and then cruise down into Riversands. Either that or take the car and do the same. I could come straight down the Mnandi road past Pooks hill, but some how I doubt they will let me big ring it down the hill into the oncoming bunches.
