Hasn't rained in a good few years in my experience, got caught in it badly the one year (2006 or 2007 I think?), the Jan Smuts downhill section in the pouring rain was no joke.

5:55. Ek dink ek gaan maar agtertoe surf soos die ouens verby kom. As ek op 50km in 'n redelike tyd kom sal ek OK wees. Daai drags aan die begin is nie vir 'n vetgat soos ek nie. Jy?

 

Hele paar ouens wat ek ken wat in B gaan ry, so ek dink ons sal daar begin.

Anyone know what the long range weather forecast is looking like? This rain has me jittery!

This will be my 11th (in a row), and it has rained once (2006 as mentioned).

So statistically, the odds are against it.

Also holding thumbs, more so for the building site that is the start/finish and parking than anything else.

Rain would not be good for a fair weather cyclist like myself. Anyone else that ware prescription glasses and cant really cycle without it? Things get pretty bad for me in the rain so I am really holding thumbs its a dry race. Well at least until 10am

Any one who does a 2nd lap did not ride hard rode smart enough the 1st time.

exactly or they use it as a recovery lap.

I did 2 at the argus(3:10 & 3:57), now I want to do 2 and the 94.7 aswell 1st should be under 3 hours, I wonder If its possible to get the 2nd one under aswell, or atleast under 3:30

I guess to protect the cleats and so the white porn star Sidi's shoes still look good at the start?
