mataz Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 I'm riding the Epic this year and will definitely be walking a fair amount, what are the best socks to wear to prevent chafe, blisters, etc? Not crazy about the super thick type e.g. Falke MTB. Any suggestions welcome.

I brought 4 pair of these into the country for the epic: http://www.x-bionic.com/men/biking/mountainbike/mountain-biking/135406/detail I really like them - on my foot much more comfy than the Falke and First Ascent I used before.
V12man Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 I enjoy my DeFeet socks I DON'T like the price... and the ones I have are fairly thick - similar to the Falke MTB ones - just less padding in the heel cup than the Falke ones.

I don't know the name of mine,but they are thin and really breathe well.Use them for running as well and my shoes are super tight. Agreed that the price is a bit crazy though.

jcza Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 FALKEFALKEFALKEFALKEFALKE OH JA FALKE I find that they are too thick (or maybe my shoes are too small). I have some DeFeet but only wear them on road. They're awesome! For MTB I wear oldest socks I can find as they don't last very long.
