Fr33rider Posted December 10, 2018 Share Here's my daily ride. It's difficult to keep my teeth warm while riding this bike because I'm grinning all the time, it's a hooligan machine of note. Where possible, I avoid tar like the plague. Luckily my commute to work is only around 2km's and even then I'm able to take a detour via pavements This was taken while riding sweeper for the 3 day Tankwa XC Rally in Sept.Very nice, smc690? BuffsVintageBikes Posted December 10, 2018 Share Buff,Nice to see you ride a motorbike too. I met you some years ago on a ride with some mates at Bottelary. You rode with us for a while and showed us around. Was a good day.I have a photo somewhere and will see if I can dig it up. Ah yes, I remember that, your one mate was still shell shocked at all the climbing involved :-)

Spokey Posted December 12, 2018 Share Hey, no fair! I also rode to Van Wyksdorp recently and didn't get to see that nice little river section. Where is it - it looks great. I rode up over Gysmanshoek Pass. Pretty but a bit tricky in places on the Beast.R327, bridge over the Gouritzrivier. The R327 links to a gravel road just outside Herbertsdale that heads toward the R328 with options to join it at Brandwacht (closer to Mossel Bay) or near the Eight Bells Mountain Inn at the bottom of Robinsons Pass. Either way is an excellent ride. From either point too, one can take gravel to Groot Brak Rivier and George. The Gysmanshoek Pass is beautiful, did that on a “gravel travel” picnic in the bakkie, with the Missus.Did you do Rooiberg Pass to Calitzdorp? I went over last week, very rocky.
