Here's my daily ride. It's difficult to keep my teeth warm while riding this bike because I'm grinning all the time, it's a hooligan machine of note. Where possible, I avoid tar like the plague. Luckily my commute to work is only around 2km's and even then I'm able to take a detour via pavements ^_^

This was taken while riding sweeper for the 3 day Tankwa XC Rally in Sept.

Very nice, smc690?

Buff,

Nice to see you ride a motorbike too. I met you some years ago on a ride with some mates at Bottelary. You rode with us for a while and showed us around. Was a good day.

I have a photo somewhere and will see if I can dig it up.

Ah yes, I remember that, your one mate was still shell shocked at all the climbing involved :-)

I can get a 2008 BMW 1200 GS, 75000km for R65000, excellent condition. What's the opinions? Can it still be financed as I haven't got R65k lying under my bed [emoji6]

If anyone is interested, contact me. He also got a custom trailer for sale, looking at R18k. Unfortunately no papers, was custom build and left GP before he got to have the paperwork done.fad9f196b49d49d2b722753b7a86c027.jpgd1da4aa578149c18d8655d1bf5bb5f3c.jpg96964cfd5c6df1b4b5608e91eb795260.jpg35ea28d59d1d8337c987c6d139e226fd.jpgf1f538757a3afde2ec6e49ceced276eb.jpgb4cf2099077af17e5bc7efde5f08aa56.jpg

Hey, no fair! I also rode to Van Wyksdorp recently and didn't get to see that nice little river section. Where is it - it looks great. I rode up over Gysmanshoek Pass. Pretty but a bit tricky in places on the Beast.

R327, bridge over the Gouritzrivier. The R327 links to a gravel road just outside Herbertsdale that heads toward the R328 with options to join it at Brandwacht (closer to Mossel Bay) or near the Eight Bells Mountain Inn at the bottom of Robinsons Pass. Either way is an excellent ride. From either point too, one can take gravel to Groot Brak Rivier and George.

The Gysmanshoek Pass is beautiful, did that on a “gravel travel” picnic in the bakkie, with the Missus.

Did you do Rooiberg Pass to Calitzdorp? I went over last week, very rocky.
