Given this pic, BMW should just offer it as standard and then let others "down grade" to cast wheels if they so wish :P

The BMW spoked wheels are also Tubeless, so win win win

And start rolling up my "designer" jeans

I have bought a Harley belt and a few long sleeve t shirts. My wife gave me a set of Harley boots for Christmas. I have become a caricature and something I used to laugh at..

but damn this Harley stuff is very well made. Great quality and I feel less guilty drinking their coffee and eating their biscuits when I pop in there. ????

I went in and bought a compression spring and saddle fastening screw totaling 70bucks!! So the free coffee and cookies made the price feel okay ????

I started watching 46Works build thread on YouTube where he rebuilds a BMW R100RS into a Cafe Racer. The amount of custom parts he has fabricated for this rebuild is amazing . A really talented oke. Can weld, fabricate, spraypaint, machine, rebuild and also knows how to use an English Wheel!

Did you get a fastening screw you can undo by hand, or just the run of the mill ones?

No, I got the normal one. They were waiting on stock of the hand-screw jobbies.

So I figured, take the normal one and free coffee, then go back for the hand-screw jobbie and free coffee... ????????‍♂️

YOU JUST MADE THAT SOUND DIRTY.

Been looking at the hand fastening options, but I think I am just going to convince my neighbour to turn me out a brass one on the lathe.

With my Harley I have never had to pay for a screw.

That said 70 ront could be cheap depending on the quality of said screw.

Therefore, we live and learn... ????

In that vein, see Harley’s effect

so here is a question ... when you go looking at bikes at dealers do you ask to sit on the bikes first, or do you just go sit on them.

I always ask, just feels right.

Good question. Unless there is a sign on it I will sit on bikes. But I very rarely do sit on show bikes. Think the only one I have ever sat on is the sportster S at my local Harley.
