Advice 29er or 650b?

Looking for advice on which wheel size to choose.

I'n just over 1.7m and currently riding a dual suss 26er and likely too never do more than 3 day stage races.

I test road a 29er and felt noticeably quicker however it seems like there's some good deals on 2014 27.5 bikes.

If anyone has experience with both wheel sizes I'd appreciate your feedback.

I just recenly went from DS 26'er to 650B DS and very happy - I do more trail than XC, but bike copes well with both - I once had a 29er for about 2 weeks and sold it, just could not get used to the bigger size wheels
