Been a really bad winter for me as well. First got sick 2 weeks before Maluti with bronchitis, and since then managed to miss a number of races due to constant returning sinus & colds, and the flu at the end of July. Anyone else experienced this as a worse winter (sick wise) than previous years?

Got gastro earlier in winter, then started with the chest infection roughly 2 weeks ago. It was the first time I had gastro.

I find when I am sick, you (dug) obviously feel completely kuk. What helps me is having a Monster or Play or Score or some of those caffeine loaded energy drinks. For me, at least, it kinda brings you up from the dumps and makes you feel almost a little normal. So, it isn't to get you from 100% to 130%, its to get you from 70% back to 100%. At least for a few hours.

What kind of work do you do or is it one of your colleagues or symptoms that make you think that?

About 5 years ago I was sick for a full 6 weeks. Coughing for 6 weeks was not fun... Went to the doctor - Anti-biotics cleared up the bacterial infection in my throat in about 3 days.  So before you jump to copnclusions, go to your GP for a check-up.

I picked up a cold at the beginning of last week. Started feeling better by Tuesday and started training again (after taking off 10days). Man, but your lungs take punishment with all the coughing. Went for a 12km run this morning and was torture. On the lungs and legs...

I feel your pain Escapee..

Same here. I started to get a blocked nose as well as tiredness.

Stayed at home today to rest. Feeling better already. My sore throat is almost gone.

Will stay off the bike tomorrow as well as see how I feel on Thursday.

I'm currently fine but I remember the last time I had a cold, a few years ago now, I was coughing so much and so hard that I gave myself a major headache every day!

Good news. Don't have tb. Bad news (not that bad) I have the dreaded post viral chronic rhinitis with post nasal drip. At least treatment is easy and effective. Started commuting today again. Felt like I was riding uphill even on the flats.

Shingles.

Apparently stress induced, now why, in 2018 with 3 kids, in our economy and political environment would anyone stress?

Luckily caught it early, got meds so the "rash" was just a group of about 5 spots. But it is painful. And the meds induces fatigue, spent the whole long weekend in bed, doing nothing but sleep and watch tv. Back at work yesterday, and by lunchtime,I felt like I could fall over and sleep.

So I have to wait another week after all symptoms have cleared to start any activity.

Have not had a beer in forever.
