Outsurance's No Claim Bonus is a scam. You pay for your insurance, claim dammit! They con you into not claiming by promising you out bonuses but when if you a total loss just before the date of the bonus, you lose it anyway. You should still be able to go back to Outsurance for help now.

You think that is a scam? Have you had a look at their life insurance? I pity anybody paying for that rubbish (especially the somewhat loosely defined dread disease and disability cover) and their promises of getting premiums back if you don't claim by a certain stage in the future. Not mentioning that the average life policy lasts around seven years before being replaced...

Couldn't agree more with this. There are no free lunches in this world. I see people, clever people that I know, being lured by outbonuses and by schemes like vehicle finance at below prime rates etc.

Get it in your head now - "there are no free lunches". They hide the costs elsewhere.

You get what you pay for.

Go back to Outsurance and let them fight your fight. Is your outbonus worth more than the loss you are suffering now?

You may find they repudiate based on clauses where you had to notify them of losses. This was what happened ina recent case that was on CB.

Careful out there - read your policies...

have lost count how many times I've had guys trying to cut corners because of out bonuses! what a load of crap, put the claim in with your insurers they will then allocate the blame.

Isn't trying to hang onto your no claim bonus and pinning your hopes on another insurance company to repair your car cutting your nose off to spite your face?

" To late !!! " , she cried . With the benefit of hind-sight , this would be a perfect world. Outsurance had me sign an indemnity , indicating that I will not hold them responsible for administrating the claim. I know , I know. Crappy decision.

I think you are now reaping the whirlwind you sowed for yourself.

Observation: Try not to do things cheaply - you get what you pay for.

Expensive lesson - you can take the lawyers fees out of your outbonus if you receive it....

YUPPPPPPPPP ( Actually , there will be no No-claim bonus. Insurance premium stopped as there is no more car to insure. Flip , now that I think of it , maybe someone will come and steal the piece of scrap from my premises .) Edited by Tromp

I was insured with Outsurance ( 3rd Party , fire , theft, never-ever ) Decided to not " use-up " no-claim bonus and handle the claim as Mr. Pr#ck admitted guilt in front of witnesses . WRONG DECISION. It is the insurance company of Mr.Pri#ck ( CIB , somehow linked to ABSA )that is making the offer in full and final settlement

Be very careful with Outsurance in doing this (repairing damage out of your own pocket to save the Outbonus). Here is a documented case where a client with a high value vehicle did this - he repaired the vehicle twice at his own expense - then the vehicle was written off and Outsurance started to investigate - they found out about the previous "losses" and repudiated the claim - their argument: the client's loss history would have influenced his risk profile and they would have adjusted his rates accordingly - therefor they didn't get their correct premium. The case went Outsurance's way.

Why do they bother teaching us at school that Jan Van Riebeeck landed in the Cape in 1652, his wife's name was Maria , they had two children , named Boetie and Sussie, ???? They should be teaching us these life skills ( en n tweede taal like LEGALISE ) Ha ha Edited by Tromp

How bad would it feel to fail at "life" instead of history  But ja, we would be "spykered" a lot less if we were made aware of all these pitfalls in life.

you see...this is why I would never ever insure with any of these type insurances...there is no way in hell my insurance would ever ask me to do such a thing
