NixM Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 Can anyone recommend a mechanic for the event? Someone who is prepared to wash the bikes as well as service them. When you take as long as I do to finish a race you need all the help you can get.

When you take as long as I do to finish a race you need all the help you can get.No need. The terrain is mild, so all you need is a 2 minute hose-down, lube your chain and you are good to go.

There are always some cancellations as the event gets closer, but even a few weeks before the event those entries gets picked up quickly so you have to be awake. The only entries I saw hanging around for a while on the classifieds were those being put up a day or 2 before the event.

(e.g.g headlamp + spare batts) What pillow do you use?(3) Essential bike repair / clean tools to take with...what not to bother with... By the way - I'll be FLYING up...so cannot carry unnecessary items...CO2 bombs are an issue, i hear.
