I have been searching for sometime to find his "His coming through the door" intro ... if anyone can direct me it would be most appreciated.

Damned right ... I also used to bomb my toy soldiers with those, many a brave plastic many lost a limb or two.

Did you know, and this is a "rumour", that if you planted those in loose gravel and got your timing just right, when another person approaches the gravel and the crackers explode, the fine gravel goes everywhere .... or so I have heard.

While we are going down memory lane...

Making your own bow and fire hardened and sharpened arrows .... then having a neighbourhood fight with it.

Making your own javelin with fire hardened and sharpened point .... then having a neighbourhood fight with it.

Making your own wooden swords......... then having a neighbourhood fight with it.

Using your javelins as a jousting tool ..... .... then having a neighbourhood fight with it by riding down the road at each other on your bikes trying to knock the other person off.

Building dens and tree houses in the bush

Making Clay Lats (Spelling)

Jumping on the back of the milk cart and catching a short ride

Clay lat for the win. The only time you get really mung someone and get away with it!

Playing last-touch with bikes is also a great way to learn how to kick while cycling without falling.

that comes from the bbc series The young ones, not sure which episode though. Or download the jacaranda app and record the intro to his show, you can use the voice recorder app and not have to hold a tape recorder in front of your phone ????

Not that I'm being of much more help but... Yes, it was the Young Ones but it wasn't from an actual episode, it was from a skit the cast did on a live Comic Relief special.

Hope that helps a bit?

The reason I stay away from ALL dog movies.

My kids still blame me for taking them to see Eight Below when they were small. I think I'm the reason they will stay away from all dog movies for life.

It may have been Pete's Dragon, I think...

In the early Eighties, we lived in Kempton Park and there was a cinema above what I think was then called 'Big D' and possibly became a Checkers Hyper. I used to walk there on my own on Saturday mornings and go watch movies. I remember, for example, seeing Jaws 3 (In 3D!!!) there with those crappy cardboard 3D glasses. Terrible movie, loved the gory 3D effects at the time. I would have been 9 or 10 I think.

*EDIT* no cellphones, often my folks were still asleep or out, I would walk to the cinema and come back hours later, my parents not knowing where I was... Imagine a pre-teen doing that today? :D

*EDIT TIMES TWICE*I just saw that the billdoard in the photo is for Pete's Dragon. No F'n way.
