I purchased a pair of Giordana Ladies Cycle Pants (R1499.99) and a pair of Ladies Cape Storm Shorts (R524.99) on 29-11-2013 at cyclelab fourways.

6 months later (2 weeks ago) I returned to cyclelab to show them the 2 pairs of shorts which have been used as often ( I alternate use) and washed and treated in the same manner. The premium pair -GIORDANA are falling apart and the cape storm pair are used but in good condition.

Despite having taken the effort to return to the store with both pairs, and the purchase document to explain my unhappiness, I was told directly by the Giordana agent 'Ingo' that I had obviously mistreated the Garment. I am shocked ... there is obviously no care for customer service. I purchased a premium product (3 times the cost of the other product) and I expect premium quality, service and customer care. I will never buy Giordana again and I would suggest you think twice before you do.

That is a surprise on the quality. I've been a big fan of Giordana for years as mid range training kit because they last so well, fit great and are priced very competitively. Maybe take it up with global or try to find another person to talk to at the distributors.

Customer service... at times I'm not sure there is much at the moment from the bigger distributors (ASG aside). It seems that most people / companies go on the defence and try to blame the user straight away and push back rather than look at the problem and see it as an opportunity to build a relationship / loyal customer.

i am very heavy on bibs, because i am heavy, but IMHO they simply cant be beat, i have ones that are years old i still use on my idt, (never out) but i think they bullet proof and worth every cent, i cant comment on warranty as i have never had a set fall apart on me

I have had nothing but excellent service from the Giordana agents. Their kit is also top quality and lasts if you follow the care and washing instructions.

THEY ARE VERY GOOD BUT I DONT THINK THE PRICE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ADD UP

Dips.....If you look at their Bibs and Jackets....same price these days. Giordana had a bit of an increase which, sadly, puts them out of range for me at the moment.

There is only ONE bib from Assos that is stupid expensive and outprice everything out there......the rest....not "bad" compared...

I'm worried now... I've just always put them in the wash, straight after getting ion the door, on cold, 35 minute speedy wash and a little super natural, organic, kiddies wash stuff. No spin. Hang them up. Done.

Assos, Castelli, Girodana, Craft all the same and sometimes even in the same load together. I'm surprised I haven't been struck down by the cycling gods for my blatant heresy.
