Or, just get a Penske shock...

I just want the piston assembly...

On topic though, the initial reviews on this are really good. Would quite like to analyse the kinematics, if only I could remember how...

Wow a bit pricey...See the SB5 Carbon is starting at $6599 for the XO1 version and going up to $10599 for the XX1 with Enve rims. *Runs and robs bank*

I'm really enjoying my SB66 with the Switch Back suspension and this just looks awesome! The guys at Yeti never cease to amaze me with their innovative suspension platforms!

The "Switch" technology first seen in the SB-66 was only licensed by Yeti for a period of 3 years exclusivity. They co-only developed it and they had 3 years, from 2011. So this is no big surprise.

I'm still trying to understand how exactly this works, but the obvious advantage at the moment is the weight saving, getting this frame to 2.3kg's is amazing, compared to the first SB-66's in the 2.8+kg range ... The weight of the previous system was what killed the success of the SB-95, awesome bike, but was just way too heavy. The carbon versions were better, but still not great in the weight class.

I'm a Yeti fan, but can't say that I have that "must have it" attraction to this bike... not the best looking Yeti imo.

I have been luck enough to ride the previous eccentric pivot system and it's amazing.

i have the SB66 and it is awesome, i never really realized just how much until i rode a mates Bronsen.

From a suspension perspective i cant say i pushed his bike as hard as i do mine but honestly felt the whole bike was uncomfortable compared to my Yeti( i know different wheel sizes etc but that was my experience). the yeti has a deceptively long top tube so the bike just feels open and free to ride.

the bearings on my switch setup basically ceased solid at one point and the bike just felt dead on the trails( i think dirt etc managed to get into the system and i didnt service as i should have so the cease happened).the open system on the sb5c would avoid that i suspect, as the system is just 2 eccentric stanchions with bushings. these will need to be replaced i am sure as time goes on etc but at least there is no closed system for dirt etc to make a home in to the point of failure.

i am very interested to see if they are going to push this system to a 160mm version.

Graves won this weekend on his 160mm Infinity protype.

That does look awesome. May be a bit of a concern keeping that pocket clean and mud cleared...

Would love to feel it on some rough singletrack.
