Always been advised to wear Spez shoes - and they work well for my feet... but now all the Spez shoes seem to have the BOA closure systems. I've heard those wire-thingies have a tendancy to not last much longer than koekies in 'n weeshuis. Yes, I know replacements can be bought, but really... I'd prefer it to last a while! Any comments on this? Was the guy that gave that opinion just unlucky? Looking at the MTB Comp, which is the same (just many years newer!) than what I currently have.
