Shhhhhh ....dont give then any ideas.... :D

Lol

But If they do manage to keep it at those price levels it will be seriously impressive. VAT alone is 14% - an extra 6% for shipping etc sounds reasonable for local support and warrantees

Yea that's it,the seatpost was only 6 months old and where they press the seatclamp section into the post it came loose. I ended up buying a Thomson post absolutely bombproof. I'm now on KS dropper. I know I got other posts already since then but it's the principle, don't tell me you will replace it and not do anything then.

There comes 1 problem already,Omnico will be the distributor.Their service is shite.

I've had very good service from Omnico. Once with a timer, and on another occasion a go pro.

No complaints my side.

I think I'm going to put one of these on my shopping list.

12k for half a power meter does not sound great to me. The pedal based PMs can also be made cheaper by measuring only one side.

The thing with pedal based power meters is that they do not seem to be that reliable or accurate yet as teams namely Garmin-Sharp who are sponsored by pedal based power meter companies don't actually use them. For example the Garmin sharp riders have gone and bought SRM power meters and covered them up as they don't feel that the vectors are good enough yet.

On the other hand Sky who are renowned for their power training seem happy with stages.

Incorrect, Garmin arent riding them as bikes are transferred from one stage to another with trucks and pedals are normally removed in transport, so for every bike the mechanic has to do the whole toot of installation angles which can get a bit frustrating if you have to do it after every transfer for every rider and all the spare bikes.

12k? Thats a rip off. I would rather get a powertap.

Is Team Sky really that happy with the product? I know for a fact that most of the big teams ask for X amount of product i.e. hardware as well as a large cash input towards the team.

So...would you openly say that X product doesn't work when they have paid your salary? I don't think so....

Also I have seen their video of their warehouse/service course and they have shelves of replacement stages crank arms...why?

Don't get me wrong they have a good thing going but I have also heard of some of the issues concerning their product.

Friend of mine has also put the stages on his bike and ran it head to head with his new powertap. On avg over an hour the readings were 2w difference. Almost nothing

Been using Stages for quite a while. Before that I used a SRM. Stages within 2-4 Watt of the SRM. By the way the most expensive unit is the Cannondale Si unit. The rest of the units will be much cheaper.
