but really, who offloads a high end bike like that at a flea market????

The bike was not being sold at Milnerton market - there is a guy there who fixes bikes. My bike had a flat (prob from being thrown over my wall!) and the guy in possession was taking it to get fixed. I would rather have had police involved but I wasn't there and Nils had to act fast as the guy could have disappeared at any time (he doesn't have a stall or any link to the market, so no way of tracking). Unfortunately he 'got away with it' but considering the situation its a great result (for me at least!)

So someone takes a super pricey bike to a flea market to have the tyre fixed. Not suspicious at all..

 

Shows you that with LBS's around the country being proactive in stolen bike cases, people are hesitant to use this channel for repairs and would rather go to some arb place where the threat of being found out is "less".

Outdoor Escape in Stellenbosch sell SC frames, I bought mine there....very good service.

Only in CP .Here in Gauteng nobody ever finds their stolen bikes again

 

Thats coz in Gauteng, u guys use the stolen bikes for muti...
