Can someone set up a poll, what percent of guys actually need/use creme? Maybe us gals are blessed, but I don't know one girl that uses this stuff?

I use it.

No, she said she wasnt paid enough to do that...So I did, trane het geloop oom.

PS...the friar's balsam is worth ten times more ito preventative measure...the nurse in the tent gave me the tip...also what she used to clean the sore up with.

Been using it since...awesome stuff and cheap as chips

Assos feels nice (its kinda tingly) but does not last long(disappears) and contains herbal stuff which may or may not work against the bacteria that cause saddle sores. Much better imo is Mark II. It lasts much longer, costs less than 1/2 the price and contains a medical antibacterial agent.

Went in for saddle sores and came out with a wax job.

Also, never ever ride in dirty shorts! I know some of you filthy buggers have done it before...

try doing R2R or Freedom Challenge in clean shorts every day. Good luck with that.

Assos... and buy their skin repair cream too for after the days ride - got a freebie of that at the Epic this year, and it's great stuff. The other key thing to do on a multiday ride is to keep the area sterile - surgical spirits sprayed on to the area before applying bum cream, and after the post ride shower will definitely help.

just be careful where you spray those spirits

Yip....i don't wish it upon my worst enemy....problem is that dressing must sit toight because of moving the whole time, but then I think they use superglue as adhesive.....mix some hair in there and its a recipe to make a grown man cry

As long as the skin is undamaged, you should be ok - just avoid the tip..... ok, you will only do that once..... it also works well on blisters... just rip off the dead skin over the bubble, spray spirits on the new skin, scream a bit, then put plastic skin over it.... and if you are riding, some duct tape too.

i always used Blue Steel but when i was in Dischem some time back i spotted another brand ( can't remember the name ) and it was about 40bucks for a nice size tub and it works great and smells good as well
