Only difference is the ladies group going off directly behind the men's invitational racing group, then a gap to the rest of the groups. By 1C the start times are back to their perviously notified times for the remainder of the field.

Karman de Lange Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 Dear L*** Please note that despite the reduced distance on Sunday, we unfortunately cannot allow anyone to ride the route twice or to reuse any portion of the route to get home afterwards. All emergency services have already been fully stretched this week as a result of the fires. We appeal to you minimise their already difficult task by not congesting the route more than it already will be. Many of you will be finishing before others have even started. The fact that this is not an option shows their money hungry intentions. I'm all for the ride and so on, but I'm not getting what I paid for, and so... just saying not hating

Who pays for the services to shut down the N2 and the M3? Who pays the Events office staff salaries since they have still done all the other logistical pieces from seeding through to goodie bag bits and put in all that time for the past year anyway? People earning a living from presenting this race and because of a natural disaster making it impossible to run the full distance, does not suddenly make them money hungry.

Compare it to some of the SPAR fun run goodie bags? No contest. The route might be in tatters but at least the usual "goody bag is horrible" complaints are business as usual. I'm curious - when is the last time the Argus had a decent goodie bag? Can't be that long ago because every year many hubbers are surprised.
