This thread just popped up again, so here it is:

Got the lightie a sweet Mongoose Subject for Christmas....

That's great! I am sure he is enjoying it. I hope the hobby does not fade over time. I am so sad I never kept on with it after the year 2000. But hey I am back on the saddle once again and enjoying it fully.

I bought a Pro Class in 1985 with my newspaper delivery money. Wish I could remember how much I payed for it then

You do have a stunning collection and real passion for these beauties

Those were some lekker times

I was only 3 years old then but I lived what you are speaking of in the 90s. I totally enjoyed it. But when studies came along and I put on my big boy pants I dropped the hobby. Silly me. :( But living happily now and enjoying the rides.

Thanks for the compliment.

First time I saw a white tailed mongoose was a few days ago. They are extraordinary - kind of half fox.BTW - who knows the collective name for Mongoose? - You know Pride of lions ..... a what of Mongoose?

A Pack of Mongooses. A bit off topic but the collective for Meerkat is way more interesting.

Did some work on the 83 Expert as well yesterday. I needed to make it "roadworthy" so I added some brakes (although not ideal to be front) as well as a temporary chain ring until I get the right one to use.

Even in the "survivor' look this bike rides really well. Very smooth, etc. I do not plan to recondition this one at all at far as the frame and fork goes.

I used to have a Supergoose as a kid... Man this brings back memories, I want another one.

That bike was where it all started for me.

Miss my Supergoose  :(
