You lucky I think of 4 guys jumping out with knives who actually want to hurt me, not some snake trying to get away from this mad species on a steel horse

I want to like this twice but it won't let me.

So who jinxed the trails ???

Wednesday two of us ride the contour path to the entrance of Cobra (Tokai)

NWester blasting - heads down (biiiggg mistake)

1.2m Cape cobra crosses the jeep track and we don't see him until it's too late - missed him by 10mm - still don't know who got the bigger fright - it or us - he was all over the place trying to avoid us. We did not try to avoid him simply because we did not see him.

MAJOR adrenalin rush !!!

Had the same with a FAT Puffie in Tokai a while back. Just glad WADA didn't test me afterwards, because I had very unnatural levels of adrenaline for some time after that. :D

I know that guy. Had some words with him while working on the stone berm last year. He's friends with a Boomslang, they were both watching us from a safe distance.

The Boomslang claims we took the Cobra's front door so there may still be some tension.

Puff adders give me the creeps. I don't mind other snakes, even had a pet mole snake as a kid, but those fat worms have such a F$#@k you attitude I also wouldn't go back for a photo.

I have had to kill a number of snakes and in most cases it was only because the were in the house with the exception of puffies. They were outside and they were not going to move

The one was in Scarborough at our beach house he was so camoflaged that he was almost invisible under a bush at our front door. Not aggressive but just refused to move so had to go.

The other was a pregnant female under some wood at the washline in Botswana. Also refused to move. This one was beeg.Twice the size of the Cape Puffy

A little off topic but we came across this little dude whilst boating in Grabouw a few weeks back  I know that snakes can swim pretty well but didn't realize just how well a Puffy could swim.
