Ham Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 We rode there from jhb last weekend to find them closed. The guy at the gate said they had stolen the water pipes. These had been replaced, but they were waiting for rand water to test the water quality before reopening.

The roads were ride able, but even though we were on MTB's we did notice that he surface was pretty rough in areas. Sad to hear they closed. Hope it gets sorted quickly!

Yeah seems to be a water issue - lets hope its sorted soon cos that is one of the great riding spots of this country for roadies

I'd gladly take a water bottle with, he'll I'll even bring the security guard some if I need to. This is worthy of a serious petition from the JHB cycling community. It's the most scenic, safest and best training spot in the entire Gauteng! Even without water.
