If Coolheat act quickly, we should be seeing it quite soon. Europe and the US will obviously have first dibs on stock.

They're still battling to get stock on XTR stuff. I wouldn't hold my breath for a while...

has shimano ever bothered with a twist shifter? never have, never will.

Yes they did and still do on their city bike group sets. They did have a 7 speed gripshift type unit back at the end of the 90's

That crank looks like Deore circa 2008 or thereabouts, not a looker like the current XT 10sp crank. Prices are awesome though, for once Shimano properly trumps Sram (well almost if they had a 10t small cog on the cass but still all good)

Just yesterday on my way home i was thinking to myself when shimano were going to announce an XT version of the 1x11, and now i see this. How awesome! looks pretty great too!

Definiteley going to start saving for the wide-range 1X11 option. Still not sold on the idea of 2X11 or 3X11. Who could possibly need 33 gears?!

Finally

SLX 1x11 soon I'm sure

Yeah they just need to bring the slx version and deore versions out, then you will be able to buy parts according to your budget. like swap out the xt cassette and chain for slx/deore

So keep my existing crank and NW chainring and just upgrade the shifter, RD and cassette !!!

Wonder if the 11spd cassette will fit on the existing 10spd freehub? if not then that will need to be replaced too.

Since none of them have a '10' I can't see why not?
