Johny Bravo Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 Morewood and Momsen not really anywhere on the world stage are they? I had a momsen hardtail the last 2 years. Absolutely loved the bike but it will always be a local bike. There was a lot of hype around the vipa when it came out. I still don't get what is so special about it.Agreed, the Vipa has no appeal to me. Rides OK, but looks yucky.

Bahahahahaha! Go to Europe and you will see otherwise. Their pedigree was very well earned, until Pat left. You'll also notice that since that time, MW haven't really made any new bikes. The passion went to PYGA. RockCoach, awesme and JXV 3
Spoke101 Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 How many world titles and olympic titles etc etc etc have been won on S works bikes. Been around forever. Like it or not, its a race winning bike. And at this stage, spec vs spec, Specialized is a lot cheaper than this. I agree that these bike don't have the same winning pedigree as a Specialized but does that mean Pat should give them away at cost price and not make a profit? Secondly please show me where I can get an S-Works Epic for less than R94 400.00 niterider 1

Spoke101 Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 Right, because Morewood was known for producing marathon/racing 29er's. Pyga's are great bikes, but the price is crazy. Also, what's up with the generic wheelsets? Please elaborate on "generic wheelsets"?
TYGA Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 Tom RitcheyThey'll sell, despite the debate. This pretty much sums it up

If I had the cash I'd surely consider the PYGA. If my name hadn't been down for the new reign I'd have driven up to PE to buy that large Pascoe in the classifieds... Ryanpmb 1
Jaco-fiets Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 Perhaps going to the wrong places....bahahahaha. I mostly go to Italy! I always make a point of visiting as many bikeshops as possible when I am in a area. Honestly have not seen a morewood the last few years in either Italy, Spain, Portugal or the USSo yes, maybe they have a strong following in the other countries

That doesn't mean that Pat doesn't know what he's doing. When he was at MW it was a different story entirely. Now he's at pyga and doing super work.
