ScottCM Posted June 29, 2017 Author Posted June 29, 2017 Our club's race is the 9th of July - Northgate 10km. Ag no man, can you do entries on the day so i can come and support your club?
Hacc Posted June 29, 2017 Posted June 29, 2017 Ag no man, can you do entries on the day so i can come and support your club?Yes, you can. I am working at the entries. If you are early you get a free t-shirt. Not many 10km races are giving t-shirts anymore. Lexx 1
ScottCM Posted June 29, 2017 Author Posted June 29, 2017 I shall see you there then on the morning at the entry table. Hacc 1
Hacc Posted June 29, 2017 Posted June 29, 2017 Thanks for the support guys. I will be entering the Old Eds race... I guess my next 21km is a bit earlier than first anticipated... Thanks, Andrew! Andrew Steer and ScottCM 2
Andrew Steer Posted June 29, 2017 Posted June 29, 2017 Thanks for the support guys. I'll be thinking of you guys from my cosy bed in Mabalingwe

EmJayZA Posted June 29, 2017 Posted June 29, 2017 (edited) Bikehub party. I will miss it because I am so slow though... Edited June 29, 2017 by EmJayZA
shaper Posted June 29, 2017 Posted June 29, 2017 Bikehub party. I will miss it because I am so slow though... Speed work intervals on the treadmill, as long as you have some sort of base endurance, will help with getting faster..... if no treadmill... sprint lamppost to lamppost...then recovery jog till the next lamppost and go again Hacc 1

Or trying to be... I do track and tempo runs every week. Still slow. It's going to be a long slog for me, but I am ok with that. It's about the journey, right? shaper, _David_, Tubehunter and 1 other 4

SwissVan Posted July 3, 2017 Posted July 3, 2017 Quite weekend runners? My quads are feeling sore today after running a new 8k route on Saturday with to much downhill in it.... My wife's reaction: Pffffttt you'll never survive a down comrades ???? ScottCM, Andrew Steer and Hacc 3
SeaBee Posted July 3, 2017 Posted July 3, 2017 Went into the mountain, had a slip and had to hobble home with what at the time was a very sore calve. Feels better today. At least got to take some pics - and was outside. To rest the calve I got onto the MTB on Sunday. Nearly had to google how the thing works... but downhills are so much more fun on a bike than running! ScottCM, candz1, Andrew Steer and 1 other 4
shaper Posted July 3, 2017 Posted July 3, 2017 Spent more time on the bike this weekend as have the Jock Classique bike race on the 15th. Did manage a 13km brick run after a 40km bike ride Saturday, with a 103km bike ride yesterday. Lexx, Andrew Steer, Chris_ and 1 other 4
