Does anyone have an idea what sort of time and average speed 3D (Starting @ 07:15) would be expecting to do?

They changed the abbreviations for the groups so hard to look back on Racetec.

Take your seeding index then your estimated time will be

2.67 * (1 + index / 100)

That is roughly the time organisers expect you to ride based on your index.

Do all the calculations you want - the biggest determinant (beside fitness) is the weather and the second biggest is crash /no crash.

Is it too late to try get a better seeding? Been checking some guys of same age and higher index than me and having finished worse in all the seeding races and they're starting in $. Would love to start in $ as well

You are wasting your time myself and a whole bunch of guys who always race $ have been put in 1A even with top 10 finishes at Shova and being ranked in the top 40 riders in the country.

We queried this weeks ago and then were told it was being looked into but we've heard nothing. (also heard that there is no more space an the 150 max has been reached)

Due to CSA not running things PPA can choose to put whoever they want in $ and you can't do $h!t, even if you have an Elite Racing Licence.

I think 1A is going to be a very strong bunch as it should be the 151-300 best riders in the counrty. I just hope sanity prevails and the guys ride safe (you can't have 150 guys on the front)

I would also love nothing more than to catch the $ riders but a 5min gap is not going to be easy to close.

I dont think the final seeding for $ has been released, they wait for all the pro teams to put in their riders then fill up the rest, if you are as fast as you say, you will be in $.

Easier to put people in $ at a later stage, a bit awkward to bump people down to 1A when two euro pro teams rock up and want to race.

How would you go about it?

I agree, ask Rob du P...... if I can pedal :whistling:  I'm sure I read somewhere that UCI World Tour teams arn't allowed to race anything below Would Tour Races.

Not world tour but their feeder teams may want to ride.

I see Sauser and Platt are racing in $. (You can blame all the Epic pros from europe filling up $ :P )

* Wait, didnt Cav ride last year, sure Ettix is a world tour team.

Yes he did, think they found some charity loop hole. Can't remember, don't think he rode $

I think he was meant to ride but pulled out when the route was shortened?  Something about a 'stomach bug' ?

He and renshaw did race $ and they got out smarted by abuntu in the final km, pushing them way back in the train coming into the traffic circle leaving them too far to come back.

Probably did not think the risk of crash at a 47km publicity ride was worth jeopardizing his season.
