I got a few "fines" at the Good hope centre.

Who remembered this nice old man at the parking near the Good hope centre? He "fined" us quite a few years in a row...

Quick qu, please tell me that the number boards are NOT compulsory??? If I wanted to ride with a number board on the FRONT of my bike I would've then taken up mountain biking!!

The drag on that number plate will cost you at least 3 min 27 secs, if the south Easter is at 13.459 km/h

Very upset with CWC.  I specifically told the dude I want Kenda tubes, but he gave me Chinese Chadyang tubes.  Unfortunately I did not have me reading glasses on to see this at the Expo. Maybe they come from the same factory, who knows.  Fact is, I trust the Kenda branded ones.

Saw something about you having to prebook your parking at the Convention Centre? Can anyone confirm? I have a relatively early start so will likely park somewhere in the Waterfront and ride over to the start, should the CC not be an option.

Really sucks as I am fitter than I have ever been, spent the bucks on the bike, put the time in etc. Also got 8 family members doing it, most for the first time and I can't be there with them.

That really sucks. Tough break but at least you can still enjoy vibe and support the others

Can someone help. I'm doing my first ctct and no where is the magazine or the website does it explain how to actually get to the start. Plenty of images of the start pens but no direction to actually get there in the first place. No info on parking. Road closures only by text which doesn't help if you don't know CPT. Route map without actual roads. Very disappointing. So I've pretty much give up on even driving to the start and have begged a mate to drop me at stupid-O'clock but still don't know what route to take from southern suburbs.

They almost certainly do. Like 90% of tires and tubes are manufactured in the same Kenda factory.

Picked up numbers and checked out the new Expo. I liked the new venue better than the old Good Hope Centre, but I think the CTICC will work even better. The "crew" and the "ask me" people were extremely efficient and got our numbers and goody bags in record time, with a big smile. PPA slipped up and could not find our ICE bracelets. Why they file alphabetically under first name when the rest of the world use surname, I cannot fathom. Fail! The stalls and the traders were much as before, but the "one way" system made it difficult to browse and return to something you checked earlier to buy. I liked the "memory lane" stall, reading up about the early tours. Not many seemed to be interested and rather checked out stuff for sale. The stadium is impressive from pitch level.
