There are a few ways of getting it out, most of which involve destroying the seatpost.

PM Dave Marshall or Ampandy, between the two of them they'll sort you out.

Proper nightmare. I had a carbon on carbon stick, tried everything even down to getting a tape measure, siting off the end and slipping that down between the post and tube to find the issue.

In the end and the 3rd mechanic, trail and tar, just wacked it with a good sized hammer... work a treat but had to promise if it when like the Poms RWC campaign, I wouldn't blame him. ;)

Alu reacts quite well to heat, attach an old saddle and boil a kettle then pour it over the seat tube. Carbon hardly reacts to heat so it wont expand very much, might give you enough clearance.

Won't the alu seatpost then expand and the carbon frame not, making the fit even tighter?

You are 100% correct, seems I got the order wrong, thought it was an alu frame with carbon post.

Heating wont work there but cooling might help, bags of ice on the seatpost is worth a try.

You just want the expansion/contraction cycle to break the corrosion holding them together - me - I would try some dry ice on the seatpost too - and a hair dryer on the outside...
