SCD Posted October 19, 2015 Share Just had my fork and shock serviced by Andrew at Stoke Suspension in Saltriver. The yearly full rebuilt. It has to be said: Great client service. It took as long as he said it would, it cost as much as he said it would, and the fork and shock are now working better and smoother than ever before.Highly recommended. Lance Cruz Posted October 19, 2015 Share Dampers are the unique selling point of the off road bicycle. Best to make sure they are running at their optimum. Hence: go to a specialist, like Stoke. Mohs and johannrissik

I get what you are saying, but that reads like a quote from a 1993 bike mag on the "Rise of Suspension Forks - Is Rigid Dead?".

rouxtjie Posted October 20, 2015 Share Pity he is so far.... Lowers....ag I sommer do in the halftime break of the springbok game, captain and coke in the one hand, camel light in the other(true story)....moering tool, 5W oil and hex key is all that is needed. Dampers...aikona pappie, I will run out of talent very quickly here...will only trust selected people to touch the stock damper. the nerd and Robodog

CAAD4 Posted October 20, 2015 Share I agree. Send it. I have never been happy with the feel of the RP23 on my one bike. Had it "serviced" last year at a lbs in the Woes Rand and it still felt the same afterwards. Andrew opened it up and discovered that the Boost Valve was no longer working. A total rebuild and Bobs your strange uncle in a frilly pink dress... IH8MUD
IH8MUD Posted October 20, 2015 Share Andrew serviced/rebuild my "proprietary" rear shock (which Omnico tried to service and stuffed up) in, it was 3-hours I think, while I was drinking beers at the Waterfront. That afternoon I was back at Jonkershoek.

cadenceblur Posted October 20, 2015 Share Yip, have to agree. Good, honest service. He once saved my Thomson stem after I buggered up the bolts. Was a walk in job which took longer than anticipated but he did while I waited.
