I like the idea of  a clear bag like that, at a quick glance you can see if you have everything you might need ...... like that multi tool taken out late at night to do a quick adjustment and not put back in the bag before that really big ride you have been working towards for the past couple of months ..... then you need the tool on the ride!

Now I want the new Stumpy!

i had one, did not work for me

but here you go http://www.thepocpac.co.za/

Just interested why not?

Used it like that for a long time now no issues ....

the one i had tore after only a few uses and it was a hassle to fold it up to fit snugly in a pocket

had a pocpac before and it fell apart at the seams ...... not a long term item, so recon a cheap pencil case would be a better alternative for me personally.

currently have my goodies in a old electric shaver soft bag with a zip, but any pencil case would work....especially if you find a Teen Age Mutant Ninja Turtles or something similar!

I have tried as you'll notice to use the flattest tools and stuff possible and that seems to have helped ..... that size fits straight into my pocket without folding it up, use a separate one for my phone, money and med aid info and stuff.

I'll keep an eye on it though!

Thanks Grebel.

I've dug an old baggie out of my drawer at the office. I'll show my multitool, C02 regulator and tyre levers in there. It's small enough to go under the seat if rolled up tightly and should do just fine.

Just make sure it's a clear baggie so that everyone can see your tool......

Although if it's small enough to fit under your seat, you might not want it in a clear baggie...

If however it can get caught in your cassette like your headphones... Guaranteed first prize!

We all know that the winner is always the oke with the biggest tool.....

Buy a new bike...

sweeeeets..... sweeeets....

Hate to say this, on a public forum....... but those Spez okes are crafty....

Between frame compartments, swat equipment, and swat shorts; everything but the sink is fair game....

I'll post pics tomorrow, of my minimalist setup, partydave. I hate saddlebags, only because they fall off without warning... I can live with the noob tag, just cant live without my tools...

Problem with being organized, is that all the b@stards I ride with, have cottoned on, so they all travel lite. Een dag...

just relax, the okes are pulling your leg.

my setup (not handlebar, that's reserved for garmin, lights, shifters, brakes and grips)

toptube bag; multi tool, plug kit and keys

Bombs attached to frame and adapter screwed into the exposed bit (behind seatpost)

tube on downtube

food and phone in back pockets

chain link taped to shifter cable

duct tape around seatpost (replace regularly)

and not this...

1. Put your stuff in a "Camelbak"

2. Look at one of those "Tri" bags that mount on your top tube.

3. If you have two bottle cages and can ride with one bottle then use the second cage for one of those bottle toolbox things.

4. Don't ride with spares. You would be amazed at how many people would rather walk than be seen with a saddlebag.

5. Get over the saddlebag fear. I've tried all the methods, purchased fancy small tools, tied tube to frame, had me and my bike looking like a Swiss Army knife. But I always go back to the trust saddle scrotum. Just too bloody useful to carry everything I need.

I buy the mr price saddle bags for my bikes...they are compact...i put my spare tube tyre levers and bombs in it...only one problem...they fall off if you dont go to waste centre and get a strip of velcro which i wrap under the seat and around the bag.

Then i have a bottle cage on the seat...i did this recently because that extra weight when the water is empty and you still have 10 km to go makes a difference...i put the same R10 pump straps around the bottle to prevent it from falling out...as i see so many times.

I use a lobo pack...big enough to hold 3 l of water and food...and even the tool kit...but nice and compact.
