Was blissfully unaware that there were different levels of Vitality .... Called now to cancel mine and found out that I could just down grade to the 'fitness' only or something like that option. Will see how that goes

There is a LEKKER new low cost plan for domestics with day to day and trauma cover. Also monetizing kids activities (VAR essentially) and the VAR points are being changed to Disco Miles, with the rewards actually being better.

 

There's another comprehensive plan, modelled on the same basis as classic smart plan, and the increases are between 8.9 & 10.9% depending on the plans

so I haven't read this entire thread. I have just joined Disco Medical Aid. Is joining Vitality worth it? I'm not into loads of admin, which is my impression of what it takes to get the most out of Vitality.

I would say it is worth it, once you get into the habit of doing all your checks, it is second nature but be warned thy change their rules(goal posts) as and when they want to.

Did they mention when Discovery Miles "e-money" was launching?

It was vague, and it's not in the marketing material. I'd go with either 1st October or 1st Jan, with it likely being the latter. Keep an eye on your points up till then. 

 

Oh - also. MILES earned only expire in 5 years from the issue date, so you don't have to worry about points running out of time anymore.

If so then you can use that to link to your Suunto and it will populate to Vitality.

I don't think so, only seems to be Momentum currently.

Would be great if Discovery could add it, looks like a very useful tool!

Pity..very useful...it works great with the Samsung health app..we have a few clients that don't want to wear devices and don't want to buy devices (mostly older farmers)..this works great as it picks up steps from S Health.[emoji106]
