It is mandatory. And caused a few headaches for them.

Come to think of it, there's a Kauai around the corner from the office. Maybe I should sign up. Think any med aids will do a deal with Starbucks? There's one nearby too. Yet to try it though...

Do you think it's a sign that you are redeeming too many free smoothies at Kauai when the cashier waves at you when just walking past?

Shouldn't the people angry at Disco and Steve Jobs direct their ire at the likes of you? What it's costing the companies to redeem your extra smoothies is what driving the targets up, right? Shame on you.

Maybe, but I feel no guilt. I am in the group of unlucky users whose actual max heart rate is much lower than the 220-age calc, making it harder to achieve the goals. I hit my goals each week so in my opinion anyone can. If you are doing it for the smoothie, work the system and train at a higher intensity for a shorter time so that your average HR is higher for each session. But if you are training for the right reasons, then carry on as you would otherwise. At the end of the day you are getting something for nothing with the smoothies

So it's possible. Starbucks hasn't tempted me yet. Would rather detour to Fournos for a cup and those sweet Greek things. Can anyone give me one good reason why I should try out Starbucks, other than to say I have?

Same here, coffee rides stop at Fournos for chocolate croissants.

I noticed the one at ORT is no more. That bummed me out a bit. That was worth the extortionate parking rates...
