Sorry but that is the way I feel about this.Yes I belong to TMBC and yes I always ride with my board but talking photos and even posting them online is as effective as giving taxis a fine.

They got marshals who do a great job out there. If you sitting with over a million bucks in your bank account get more marshals, hire security but taking a photo is a waste IMO.

we had the opposite affect on our side, when we started posting photos on social media we had a massive increase in membership applications...

Is that the hill up from the Bloemendaler? I forgot to smile this morning... (And yes, I have a Board)

Reminds me of the lovely fellow on the red Spez hurling bottles into the bush on the race on Sunday. Always a grey hair with an entitlement problem.

Its not the first time they did this, in the past a number of the riders on the pics posted have been identified and contacted - some even replied directly on the FB page..

The mtb community in the Cape is not that massive, very likely someone out there will recognise your mug on a pic

One of the chaps photographed replied and proved that he did in fact have a valid board, but that it was broken. I did not post his pics ( there were 2 of him) due to his admission, but would like to put it on record that the club rules clearly state that your board must be clearly visible from the front of your bike on the handlebars at ALL TIMES. Having the board in your pocket / back pack etc. is NOT A VALID EXCUSE, and is considered rogue riding.

If anyone recognizes these guys, please pass their contact details on to the club, which are available at http://www.tygerbergmtb.co.za/

It would be more benificial to move the camera to the tight left switcback on the downhill section, then name and shame those who dont know how to rail a berm without locking the back wheel and destoying the trails.

Wasn't the rider who caused all the problems at Kliprug a member of TMBC who went off route to avoid some mud or something and then swore at the owner when confronted?

Riding the Spruit in winter you learn that you always avoid the mud.

Simple - he wasn't a rogue in the same sense that the riders being outed on FB are. He was paid up and then behaved badly leading to the loss of the trail. The riders using whatever that track is without boards( they may even be members) are probably not going to cause the trail to get closed, they are simply breaking a rule and/or not paying which is a different kind of bad. I am quite happy with FB being used to catch them. Everyone must pay and/or display their boards if members.
