Well done all you hubber losers. This has been tough over December. I have not had the mental fortitude to go the whole nine yards over the festive season.

My eating plan began in earnest on Wednesday (back to work) and I have shed 1.5kg on strict banting (all hail Tim Noakes).

Check out Real Meal Revolution for the uninitiated.

Good luck with the last few days and please do not stop on Monday - keep it going.

I'm sure there must be a case to answer against the Chubbyist nature of this competition.

Au contraire mon ami.   :)

This thread was started to  offer a home to an oppressed minority and as such occupies the moral high ground and can by definition not be any kind of -ist .  .

72.9kg this morning.

I still have 3kgs to go before I'm not considered obese

I don't want to talk k@k, but are you sure you are calculating this properly ?

At 69.9 kg, you would have to be 1.5 m (5'1") to drop our of being "considered obese"

I am following the Real Meal Revolution, I am not noticing the expected weight drop, however I have noticed something very cool.

Without training  much (certainly not enough to increase fitness) my Resting HR has dropped 8 - 10 beats per minute. I have measured it frequently the past 2 weeks.

i feel pretty darn good.

My apologies. Overweight is anything over 25%

i Fully agree All Hail Tim Noakes i Did the LCHF diet and have adopted it as my lifestyle and once you get into it it is pretty simple i dropped from 94 kg down to 74 kg in a matter of 3 months i eat as much as i want never starve myself and feel better than ever

As I said. Stupid calculation. IMO a BMI of 25 is bordering on anorexic.

I am 1.87m, 83kg,with a 32inch waste. Went for my Disco test and I am bordering on obese if you just look at the standard calculation. Absolute bollocks.

And at that height and weight, I'd say you're spot on in terms of the "ideal" measurement, and could actually be higher before you should be considered even overweight.

I have lost 2kg lying around over Xmas, cos I was too hot and too uncomfortable to eat. Sometimes when the man upstairs throws you personally, he also throws you a weird bone. But I'd have preferred a bit of Xmas cake TBH! :)

Sorry, but I don't agree.

At 25.6% and I still have quite a bit of fat around my waist, back and pecks

20Kg in 3 months ??

Has this been sustainable ? Doesn't sound too healthy to me...
