The scale reads 0.1...checked this morning.1st ...108.1kg

2nd ...107.7kg

3rd...108.3 kg

So i am around 108 kg [emoji12]

True dat!

But, for me, I'd be buying some new scales. If I don't get a repeat weight within 0.1kg, I keep measuring until I do (stiction on the load cell within the scales?). It doesn't look like a biggy, but I need to see small gains/losses on the scales, to feedback to my arms and mouth that I'm doing the wrong/right things!

If i was 84.3 kg and needed to get to 83.8 kg to be gain that slight advantage...i would upgrade my cheapie scale...for now i need to see 1 kg looses[emoji6] i need to stay focused on cutting the junk and improving nutritional value to my fuel.

I believe 80 % of the weight loss challenge is the motivation and commitment...15% cutting out the junk and 5% making the healthy food a habit.

In the bigger scheme of things the scale is accurate to 0.5kg. The goal is probably to lose a lot more than that. For eg, If Isetech want to lose 5 kg in a 3 week period, the 0.5kg "tolerance" is almost like just being one poo behind...

My scale is somewhat similar but I can at least get 2 weights the same if I get on it 3 times. As long as my weight hovers around the 81kg mark I am happy. If I was still racing I would be aiming at 77kg but my wife thinks I am no fun then! I got so paranoid about the 0.1kg difference. Then I could take a pee and be on target. Don't make yourself a slave to the scale. It is a measurement tool and nothing more!

2.5kgs down since friday mornings weigh in! Clean eating and 130km of riding this weekend which included 1600m climbing even a monster 21.7% 100m.

Goal was 90kgs by the Jock, so 2kgs to go, at this rate that will be easy. Mid Feb I was 106.6kgs.

I get 2 or 3 readings of the same so not too concerned about the scale for now. My target is now to get from 91 to below 83 in the next 12 weeks. Body isn't playing along at the moment so need to push on hard.

Ive gone back to basics! If you want to loose weight, eat less calories than you burn in the day as simple as that

Dont forget your cheap meal once a week, it really does good. This friday I had a Dominos pizza and a piece of cake from M&B!

When using those digital bathroom scales, remember that you need to 'zero' the scale first before using it. Otherwise you get those different readings (and some of them could be off by a few kilos).

How to zero the scale:

Turn it on (normally by standing on it) but just enough for the digits to appear. Just a medium press with 1 foot should do it.

Then step back - away from the scale - and wait for it to turn off.

Then step on it again to turn it on for a second time. You can now take your reading.

That first step helps to zero the scale. You should find that 2 or 3 readings in a row will now be exactly the same.

I've found that in the past with these things (esp. the cheap ones) the readings vary so wildly that I just can't trust what I'm looking at. So the scale might say I'm down 1 or 2 kg, but that could be a totally false reading. Next day I stand on the thing and it says I've gained 2 kg overnight.

Moral of the story: either buy a top of the line digital scale for over R1K. Or weigh yourself at the gym (just needs to be first thing in the morning before breakfast).

myles dont forget...100 kg here we come...i will be down to 105 kg this week ;)

"cutting out the junk" my main focus at this point...if you have tried giving up smoking you will know the challenge...that urge... just have one sip of coke or one bite your favorite chocolate bar...same thing if you give in you might as well eat the whole bar and drink the whole 2 lt coke...be strong.

Hopefully should be there by Friday. This week is my commute week. 2h30 every day on the big bike, with a bit more thrown in if I feel like green belting it.

Got on the scale this morning.  90.1 kg's

Health took a huge knock.  Waiting to go visit the Dr this morning again.  Hearing bubbles when I breath out, feeling very light headed and can't walk more than 500 meters.
