I'm always amazed at how popular Schwalbe is, but that they generally get such mixed reviews.

Even the higher end casings are divisive, with people either loving them or hating them due to their lack of durability.

If anyone here can get their grubby paws on it, give Michelin's new rubber a shot.

I've got the Wild Grip'R (front) and Wild Race'R (rear) combo on my bike and it's amazing. I've got the Reinforced casing versions; although heavy, they are tough as nails. The sidewalls also offer a lot of support, helping in running lower pressures.

A moment of silence for the poor chap who is going to spend his hard earned R's on Kenda rubber.

Kenda Karma isnt a bad tyre... not all of us have R899 for a Schwalbe  :whistling: #thanksZuma

Used to be a Racing Ralph fanboi but they dont last and too many punctures. Bought a wheel set that came with Spez tyres (Ground Control & Fast Trak) and its been great. Also bought some Ikons on special and equally happy with them. I don't have enough skillzzz to tell you about grip but they're durable and I haven't punctured in a while.

I wonder how many people are running the no name brand options from Makro, Game, PnP etc

OOps, i see you have other listed

I would consider it, the price of tires is bloody mad!! Sommer makes me demoer in.

Like PregoRoll mentioned. Kenda tyres arent that bad. I used to use a few of them. Nevegal, Karma, Honey Badger, nexcavator. Nice tyres

I would not go back to Schwalbe. I think a lot of people are basing their vote on being satisfied with the older tyres which was better than the new ones.

How were the older ones better? Knobs tearing off was a batch issue. Longevity is now sorted and on par with other tyres, in fact better in some cases. As for puncture protection - snakeskin is very good... But SG is even better...

2x 2015 Nobby Nic - leaking badly eventually pulled off due to constant flats

2x Racing Ralphs - leaking abeit not so bad

All snakeskin 2.25 pacestar - seems rubber issues in 2015 also causing profuse sweating???

cannot just be coincidence over 4 tyres on 2 bikes - I put back the old 2013 HD pacestar in between getting new Nobby Nics - no issue - no leaks

2013 2014 - knobs tearing yes on the trailstar but no leaks or sweating on the snakeskin tyres.
