You laugh, but the driving over the bike/front wheel is rather popular. You and your Mrs finish the race, you put bikes in back of car, hand wife wheels, she is chatting to friends and you reverse over two removable speed bumps :0

Or people just get home and realise they did not pack the front wheel in the car and left it against a tree

I did just that with a R6k fly fishing rod, drove over it. Lifetime warranty for the win!

I've heard of a few brokers who've actually advised their clients to carry out actions similar to this, just to get a claim paid...

It's because of these few brokers that things like the RDR are going to put good brokers out of work!

This is a dud and there is no time restriction on misrepresentation.

i see this quite simply.

He had the wheels in original spec.

took photo.

replaced rim with lower spec whatever was available.

transferred stickers. poorly.

sold wheel with original photo

Although I don't practice Law, I passed my Law of Evidence exams with distinction at University.

The only principle  I kept reminding myself of, because it remains the only relevant thing in that course is : "Hy wat beweer moet bewys"

Misrepresentation ? Now good luck with proving that.

Unless you have a dated photo of the wheels at the time you took delivery, you have no proof of your claim.

If I remember correctly....+-R 1 200-00

no, i paid full price R1400.

I could not sell them like this.

i have not checked if the profile is identical. i will tonight

i am not calling it a warranty. This is a dud and there is no time restriction on misrepresentation.

ADVR,

Above post is where I derived the "discount" Seems the seller got this wrong.

Misrepresentation is another story. If you have evidence of deliberate misrepresentation then the seller may well have a case to defend.

It's also going to put a lot of bad brokers out of work. The banks are going to take the biggest hiding though (which is a good thing in my books).

How do you prove that 6 months later?

Um warranty? Does the warranty cover accidental damage, not just manufacturing defect?

Covers any event resulting in breakage. Have it on some Reddington rods too and they replace, no questions asked.
