Anyone else see kwiatkowski chuck his jawbreakers just a few minutes before he pulled off?

That Oke is so strong right now, he gave it EVERYTHING today.

Saw that.. Nice little present... He was so buggered he couldn't even consider fitting them into his helmet!

For me seeing Froome when and the pain it brings some guys on twitter makes it even sweeter. Every time he gains time I can tell they lose sleep, it's amazing. Support Froome just for that!

Just want to say how proud I was of Louis giving it hammer and tongs at the top, Yates was turning himself inside out to stay on his wheel. Feeling very patriotic!!

With a team that protects him he will do well I reckon!

1000% He did as much as he could..and understandable we all want more.Over the last 2 days on the biggest mountains he was basically just beaten by the riders that are on the podium now.Best young rider on the climbs for sure!!I do agree with most that I would like him to give the Giro a go next year..skip the tdf and then do Vuelta.

Whatever SKY are paying him, its not enough.

This. As I was watching I thought exactly the same thing. My new secret cycling crush :) when he stopped and put his foot down I knew I could be like a pro.

So where was Landa at the end? After all the hype I expected him to help pull Froome clear.

Taking into consideration that he probably still has the Giro in his legs ( remember he raced hard after the crash and dominated the mountain stages at the end of that race) I think he performed remarkedly well during this TdF.

He can climb with the best of them......he proved that yet again. However I do think he needs to stop riding defensively. He needs to show some balls and attack the main contenders on climbs like today. That is the only way he will gain more confidence and move up a level

I am sure that if Atapuma and Ulissi rode with him on the last climb in an attack he could have gained another 30 to 45 seconds on Yates. Not enough, but just enough to scare Yates into riding a very nervous TT and maybe make a mistake.

Was happy to see The Cheese drop Yates over the last 2 days. The gap is just too big. And ... he needed a LOT of time as Yates is a better TT rider anyway.

this is the other yates brother right? the one that served a drugs ban last year?

just checking.

Landa lost huge form during this Tour, he basically did recovery rides around France admiring the scenery with a small sprint effort for 20s on route till yesterday.

He was battling to balance and knew his form had gone downhill and decided to do a small effort to wake up the system. Problem was he was riding fasted all day and once he went from burning fat to Carbs during the Hi intensity effort, he wasn't used to it and blew. Its like coming off the couch after 3 weeks and trying to hit a all out intensity effort.
