Not if the hints and rhetoric on social media is to be believed.

Congratulations to Froome and his team. I thoroughly enjoyed the Tour this year. I was mostly surprised by Uran and Team Skyweb. Most underwhelming rider must go to Quintana. Congratulations to Mr Maincheese on finishing 8th. What an achievement. I hope he gets a better team next year and there will be less wheel sucking next year.

Well I will have to think hard about my choices for the Fantasy Tour for next year as most of my riders crashed out. Don't want to jinx them.

Nibali did not ride Le Tour.

I hope Meintjes goes to a team that helps him come into his own. He was clearly not wanted at either Lampre Merida or UAE. If I was him I would also fire his agent. But he is too timid a person to do that probably.

From Cycling News earlier this year:

Meintjes's contract with UAE Team Emirates expires this season and there should be no shortage of interest from other teams given his consistency in Grand Tours and his relatively young age. For now the focus remains on the Tour de France, while in the background his advisor – former rider Robbie Hunter – gathers options for 2018.

"UAE has been pretty good to me and things are coming together after the late start in the year. I've not signed anything yet," Meintjes revealed.

One option for 2018 could be one of Meintjes's former teams, Dimension Data. Meintjes has remained friends with the team's owner Doug Ryder, with the South African team still on the lookout for a Grand Tour rider.

"They're always asking, they're a South African Team. We'll only start negotiations towards the end of the year but there's always possibilities. That's all I can say. I've chatted to Doug a few times but he's a good friend, so that's normal. I'm here to focus on the race and after the Tour I'll get the fact together and see what's best for the future."

I just wanted to say...

Thats 4 TDF wins for Froome.

Call me a fanboy or whatever. skybots or whatever - 4 wins is 4 wins. He still beat them all and this year was definately not boring.

Well done - think the Queen owes him something.

Well seeing as his team hardly helped him at all in 2017, I hope not. They just happened to be in the same shite kit.

Winnings from TDF, I know it's not the only cash they get, but I wonder if you work out ROI for teams on winning alone, some would have negative ROI.

My uninformed unapologetic fanboy notes:

1.Froome is pure class. Arguably the best rider of his generation.

2. Meintjies is a superstar. Wow.

3. The DQ of Sagan was a travesty. He is also pure class.

4. I can't stand Aru. It's irrational, its unfair, but there it is. But ya, boy he is talented. But he is an ape.

5. I can't mourn the decline of Contador. I don't like him either.

6. Impey is flippin unbelievable. I really wanted his break to go to the line today. Anyway, he made South Africa proud especially yesterday.

7. Bouhani is pure drek. I am glad he did not win a stage.

8. Lance's stages podcasts were brilliant. He should be allowed to come out of the cycling wilderness. I would like to see him in the commentary box.

9. No tour tomorrow. Sucks.

The Aussie commentators said during the prize giving ceremony that the 4 winners of the classification jerseys represent Africa, France, Australia and Great Britain ( Yates).

Maybe the Queen also don't think Chris is a dinkum Pom
