My brother in law got pulled off the course by Dr yesterday at water point 3.

Mate of mine in hospital with kidney failure. Both have finished Epic before and have trained properly.

Both saying hospitals were full with riders.

Hope they recover soon. Cant imagine it is nice being pulled off the course, but your health is a higher priority. Glad to hear they do have medics at the waterpoints to check the riders

I would like to just see at least the category racing and not just the pro men...

I mean there is prize money for the other cats but no coverage. Its not fair on the riders or their sponsors.

Just look at the pro women, barely a mention yesterday, mixed nothing, masters and grand masters nothing. Those are pro riders to!

Aah Sabine says at the moment she wiped the sweat off her brow and hit a rock.. but back and legs are fine so all good...

Replayed that fall a few times, couldnt see what she did to take such a fall on perfectly flat ground. Did her frontwheel knife jack when she wiped her face?

Looked really bad when her face hit ground with no hands in sight!!

I have yet to hear the commentators actually comment about what is going on in the race.. they talk about all sorts of things except the live race, I know that Nino is buying a flat in stellenbosch and by now probably Sausers underpants size[emoji35] Okay maybe they aren't seeing everything with the feed cutting every so often.

If they get pulled from a stage, will they be allowed to do a stage later on?

Say one gets pulled out due to dehidration, but recovers in a few days, may you do stage 6 and 7 with a blue board?

Nino now driving the pace... Cannondale say nope to the call to help, fine line between increasing the gap to Spez and saving for the stage win..

Indeed Sauser looks to be struggling.. Kulhavy seems to be having to hold back for him

Spez are closing the gap to the front 4.

3 leading teams together now, on the tar.. some roadie moves now, checking each other out.. Kulhavy having to give Sauser his bottle.

Its like that with all TV coverage, the pointy end of the men elites, they are leading the race. It is was it is.

They have upped their game with the coverage.  It's good.

And I think the Gerald is doing fine with the commentary, he is well informed. Beats the cr@p out of Rob Walnut.

No your race is done if Dr stops you.
