I really didn’t think he was going to stay clear, but he made a massive gap in such a short amount of time. Really impressive to hear that they’ve planned it exactly like that… and then pulling it off.

 It’s another Slovenian talent that pick pockets the win - beautiful racing. I thought he went tooooo early.

Luckily he rides a Merida with disc brakes, so SA boy racers will never buy in. The added weight of a dropper AND disc brakes? Also, Merida are not good enough bikes for most of the guys on the SA roads too, so it's a dead combo.

Only the lightest for our massive alpine racing!!!!!!

Mohorič:

The team thought that the dropper post would really suit my descending characteristics, so we worked on that and prepared for a daredevil descent. 

 

UCI:

Hmmm, let's ban the dropper post in road racing from 01 April.

A couple KOMs, some other tops 10s and lots of other achievements too. Was a fast race today, certainly quicker than the last 7 editions.
