Haha, I just thought about it in my head... Uhm, not sure how to close it though? I know from my other forum (Carbonite) there is a dedicated button for it.

Nooo rather let it live

Otherwise someone else will start it all over again in a few months

Mind you.... they probably will anyway

The train wreck of logic that forms the bulk of the thesis's espoused on this thread continues to careen all over the place.

We have as a majority come to the wise conclusion that during a trip on our bicycles it would be foolish to believe that our heads are stronger/better protected without a helmet on than with one on.

We wear our helmets when riding with confidence and screw motorists and those idiots who have a bizarre idea of "false sense of security" when riding with a helmet, NO my shins/knees/elbows/butt/thighs/wrists/collarbones/ribs/spine/neck/ankle etc enjoy no "false sense of security" when I don my helmet, that idea is patentedly retarded.

Not cycling I know but a few friends who don't spend all their money on bicycles etc and so can go skiing / snow boarding noted that the difference in the last few years has been compulsory and/or extensive helmet wearing.  They put it down to the Michael Schumacher incident.

But they did also say they suddenly noticed how often helmeted head met snow or ice, particularly snow boarding, and how useful the helmet was.

For me, I am not as resilient to pain as I once might have been and I can't wait for cannabis to be legalised so its ATGATT and definitely a helmet. The Afrikaans John Wayne: "As jy dom is moet jy suffer".

That was the thing I noticed about snowboarding too. Your head hits the ice A LOT, a lot more than one thinks.

I was amazing at catching my rear rail and falling onto my back, head hits the ice like a whip.

A very interesting paper on helmet use.

Without regurgitating and performing CPR on the horse, please have a look at the above. Don't place your faith in that expensive Rudy Project, just yet anyway.

Rather ride and think safe.

Funny meme and indeed true but it does lead to the obvious question.

So, with the info at hand which one is right?

In general, consensus, scientific, or otherwise doesn't suggest right or its converse, particularly when it comes to things like multi-factorial risk assessment.

After all, doesn't that character ('6 or 9'), from a certain perspective, look like the letter a?

Helmet: to wear or not to wear?  It was clear to me: I`m obsessed with safety. “It`s so uncomfortable” – they said, - “You look weird” – they said. But I feel more calm and confident on the road in this way. Just need to choose the right helmet. I was looking for the first one using articles like this: http://bestadviser.net/features/properly-chosen-helmet-halfway-to-a-safe-ride/. Now I need to change it because of a little crash (glad that I and that tree are still not on YouTube ).  I don`t think that someone`s mind can be more important than your life and I`m not afraid to seem funny or strange in bright helmet.
