V4...Hmmmm nice...they come in lumo green?

I've got M4's on my Reign. You'v seen them. The best part about Hope rotors is that they ping after those long Alpine downhills.

Ting... Ting... Ting.

Oh and no fade.

OK so I don't do hardcore #enduro riding but I do some quite technical riding for JHB, Up and down!

Swear by my hope X2's, never thought about having to get 4 pots, but wouldnt say no...

No fade

No mess

No fuss

No funny sticking levers

No worn out internals (Sorry Shimano fans)

Just solid, hard wearing, long lasting awesomeness...

I just bought myself some guide r. Would it have the same issue seeing that it has direct link as apposed to swinglink?

If I could afford the Hopes I wouldnt think twice, but I payed less than 2k for the set of guides.

it's the piston inside the lever body. best way to check is leave it outside any day this week (its supposed to be pretty warm around 30-ish degrees C this week), and if the lever pull starts feeling abit sticky, its likely due to that piston issue.

NB: this is not a terminal issue. it's easily fixed.

They might - depends on the version of the internals they have - but it is a simple under warrantee fix.

I recall...how many pads did you go through in 2014?

OK shot...where to get? V4? Locally? (just doing some economics...!)

Sorry for the hijack ou's!

There is a local agent. But I can't for the life of me remember who. Someone on here will know.

Its summer and the SRAM brake curse has reared its head on my 2018 Guides. Last couple of rides the rear brake lever has started to display the slow lever return nonsense... I am loathe to start rebuilding brake levers. The things are 13 months old.

i ordered some allu pistons off eBay to bring to life a dead set of Guides, they've been holding i actually tested them by leaving them in the sun to see how'd they'll react.

Unless its the RS or R version its pretty k@k getting the piston out, and a small internal circlip pliers and some dot grease and rebleed on yours and it should hold.

otherwise check at getting the pistons...

on my recent trip to Knysna when i hooked up with GetStoked Distribution, they let me test the Cura's on one of the Pivot's, those brakes were amazing. But that means nothing i guess
