Update. Doctors say he has a day but we are standing in faith and praying lots that the Lord has mercy. Three cars were involved with drunk drivers near the pub at the bottom of silver pine in Randburg. One car was a white Landrover with black mags. The second car was an aquamarine BMW. Third car was blue but not identified.

 

Either way, praying for both

Hit and run - so not *even* small amount of admin hassles. Just put foot and get home and pour yourself another one, maybe buff the marks out of your car and then shower.

 

Not sure what is most horrifying - dying instantly, or a doctor saying you've got no more than a day ... this incident is sitting in my tummy and in my chest, feeling nauseous.

 

And there's nothing you can do or say  ... condolences ... hoping for a miracle ...

I have no words!...... but a simmering anger that I know will serve no purpose.

 

I am fortunate I live away from the city life but it is always in the back of my mind.....if it is fate, when does it become my turn! ...... It just takes one drunk driver, one cell phone user, one lapse in concentration....and the 'ticket is written... 

Its also why I packed away the road bike 3 yrs ago and got into mountain biking. BUT! biking is biking!...........it can happen anywhere!

 

Thoughts are with Andrew & family in this difficult time.

This just in from FB:

 

Please can you put out a appeal for information, a cyclist Andrew Bradford was hit before 5 this morning in front of the Boskruin village shopping centre on Jim Fouche just past Rhema. Church. Three vehicles a white landrover, blue BMW and a third blue vehicle driving in convoy all drivers were Black males having recently left the shebeen higher up Rabie Road passed. Group of cyclists and the third vehicle hit Andrew who was thrown over 20 meters. His injuries are so sever that he will not survive. The drivers did not stop and sped off. The three drivers were involved in an altercation with police in front of the shebeen prior to the accident. Please can we have any information to assist in getting these people arrested

They will be caught! The drivers of the other vehicles should be charged as accessories for not stopping. Even if they get off in the end. Geez this is too much.
