Problem is that the op one idea of his post and it was interpreted by most other people in another way but he still held it was everyone else that was wrong and backed up a variety of well place expletives... which always helps in proving your point.

There is a proverb.... a man doesn't think he's sick but a doctor friend says he is so sends him for a second opinion. The man doesn't believe this and goes for another examination... and another claiming they are all wrong. He comes back to his friend and asks for another opinion. The friend's opinion is this... if one doctor tells you one thing about your condition and you don't believe it ask then a second opinion. If 10 doctors tell you the same thing then lie down because you are sick.

There was a very valid point in the first post it this Fred that has now got swamped and that is a shame.

So back to the OP's post...

My pet peeve are the guys/girls on MTBs riding in the shoulder / bike lane in the Cradle, who then swerve without warning (usually as I am passing at speed and nearly crashing into me and my group) around patches of sand or small stones that have washed into the road from rain...

I realize in most instances these are newbies riding their MTBs in cradle (I can tell by the running shoes), but seriously guys/girls, those knobbly tires can handle some sand on the road - no need to avoid it!

I have no issue with MTBs riding there - happy that you are getting into the sport and enjoying your Saturday mornings being active on a bike, but please just keep left and avoid wandering into road without checking!

Ironically this thread is exactly the same as the problems on the road. Nobody wants to see the other person's opinion. It's all ME and MY opinion and I'M right.

Attack, insult and degrade. Take those very ideals to the road and people die (usually cyclists because we don't have the luxury of a steel cage)

Well done us.
