Very nice! Always was a fan of the black blue. You say you had it for a while... how long did it take before upgrading? Honestly when I look at my bike, then there is like nothing I can think of that I need to upgrade, or even just prefer to upgrade.

its only when you on the bike, then you need upgrading

So I have had Jeffsy for a while now and after completing the Berg and Bush I decided Jeffsy needed some love and attention.

Originally a 2016 Jeffsy AL, I wanted to save some weight (was close to 15kg's when i did B&B) and improve some performance. After all the changes I realised today the only original parts left are the frame, fork, shock, dropper, stem and rotors. Weight as pictured with cages and pedals is 13.73kg size large.

Upgrades:

  • Full XT M8000 incl brakes and trail pedals
  • Stans Arch MK3's on Hope Pro 4 hubs with Alpina bladed spokes and brass nipples
  • Fabric saddle
  • Vittoria Barzo 29x2.25 (these were just available so testing them and will then find something wider that doesn't weight as much as me)
  • 780mm raw matte carbon bar
  • Blue stans stickers

Only thing left is to get stealth fork decals

Gorgeous!

Just one thing to remember regarding the rubber: 2.5" or GTFO! That bike deserves nice and meaty rubber.

Are the wider rims like 30mm outer rim width, necessary on these bikes?  Capra, Jeffsey etc.

I've gone 26mm internal with because the bike can't really fit wider than 2.5-2.6 rubber. Definitely better and lighter than the OEM 22mm m1900 rims. I don't know that 30mm internal is really necessary as you can't fit 2.8 tyres afaik (stans wideright etc.).

Love it...but then I’m biased since we have very similar setups, even down to the rim decals, lol. I’m one step ahead with the fork decals though: https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/168700-everyting-yt/?p=3202611

Any of you guys experience the bolts becoming undone by themselves at the pivot points?

Also, how does one torque the bolts located at the top of the seat stays. I cannot get a tool in there, even if I remove the shock.

If you are referring to the Jeffsy then yes. We have 2 Jeffsy's in our riding group and both have issues with the Pivot points, specifically the forward shock mount.

What's the issue? My rear chainstay came undone, but that one was easy to access and low torq of only 7Nm.. the shock mounts are also easily accessible. But the big pivots on top of seat stay I'm not sure how to get to. Capra.

Anyone know where to get the torx fitting for the biggest pivot on the capra frame?

Also, which wrench is best to use as I've tried a few, but the wrench cannot get to the pivot points because of it being in awkward locations.
