It's a difficult pick.. with a TT prologue then a couple of combative stages in the 1st week I'm not sure the sprinters will have it all their own way.

Week 2 starts off with sprinter stages then gets a few mounds and same with week 3.... Picking a team that covers the bases, allows subs and upsets and has poncheurs, sprinters and pure climbers/GC guys (yellow and white) is quite tricky with the stage layout this year...

Sjoe!

I ummed and aahhhed and dropped Stybar which has almost certainly guaranteed him an awesome tour now... Just really looking forward to the next 3 weeks!

535 teams entered already... this is NOT going to be a walk in the park by whoever wins the grand prize.

Do we have any info on the participation levels in previous years? This feels exponentially more

Bloody hell.. I wish they would stop advertising this fantacy tour.[emoji35]

Are these active members or are people creating multiple accounts. Is there a minimum post limit to enter? (Almost as bad as trying to sell something here  )

Bugger. I think revision 5 is about to start

I struggle to stay abreast of 1 team... having 3 or 4 would take up way too much time and effort!

Yeah, the sprinters will have their say in week 1, 2 and 3..... a balanced team is pretty thin. I'm not sure if its better to stack 3 of the classifications and hope some of your picks flirt with the ones you left out.

All in all it looks like a tour for an aggressive poncheur. A pity el Purito isn't 7 years younger or Julien Alaphilipe isn't riding this year. I rate that kid and the 1st 2 weeks of this race would have suited him.

If Aru attacks mercilessly in the 1st 2 weeks we might have a super awesome race on our hands

it's been about 700 for the last two years. Before that, it varied between 80-100.

I'll try find the numbers since 2009, a bit later.

Question for the suits, sorry if it's been asked already.

there's daily points and then overall finish points.

Daily points very easy to follow.

are the overall finish points only allocated to the 9 dudes in your team for the final week, or for all 12 okes in your squad?

  •
  • Pick your squad of 12 riders: 9 active riders and 3 substitutes.
  • Team submissions close once the Tour begins: at 15h00 SAST on Saturday, 1 July 2017.
  • Substitutes: On the two rest days during the race you'll have the opportunity to substitute riders. You can drop the non-performers or bring in some fresh legs.
  • Once substituted, riders can be used again, however points are only allocated while a rider is active.... if they're on the bench you don't score points

Good question, I will add some more detail on this to the site.

Overall points will only be scored by the 9 riders who complete the Tour - i.e. they must be in your team come Stage 21.

could also be less than 9 if one, or more, doesn't make it to Paris in the final week.

Admin I entered my team but forgot my team name. Can you possibly add the team name to the team rider's page or I will not be able to find my team.... plse

I think people that forget their team name should have one allocated to them by admin.

Team sweet cheeks

Team touchy feely

Team struggle snuggle

next picky question, think i know the answer but asking anyway

stage 5, maincheese destroys the field and finishes 90 seconds ahead of them to ride into yellow.

He also owns the white jersey, but Yates wears it on stage 6 because our boytjie can't wear both.

who gets the white jersey points for that stage?

Qué?

It's not about the jersey.... or shirt
