Whiskey and tramacet. Worked wonders when I broke mine last year.

Declaflam does the job, but laughing hurts no matter how much 'numbing' you throw at it! hahaha

Oi! Tough as nails this side of the mountain!

I am getting excited about shopping for a new helmet though....

As far as I know, Duane, you didn’t take part at Ezel this year. Have you taken part in the EzelEnduro during it’s 3-year existence? I may be wrong, but I believe you have not. Therefore, in keeping with your dim-witted precedent, you are not “qualified” to comment on HIS report.

Maybe you could take your closed minded opinions over to Europe and forget them there while you’re being lazy up a ski lift. Next when you grow a pair of HTFU, you can attempt to complete EzelEnduro and “be better” at offering an opinion of substance.

In the blue corner we have Myles , In the red corner we have Duane

And just to throw another spanner we have special guest ref. Vetseun

" Round 1 , FIGHT "

I didn't claim any ability mate. This is what I wrote. Where in there do I make a claim about my ability?

"With respect Myles.

You should not have written this. For whatever reason, you didn't finish the event. There are 54 people who did and are therefore more qualified to write about it. Surely finishing should be a pre requisite to putting pen to paper?"

Fact. He didn't finish

Fact. The event was more than twice the vert he's managed in the past

Fact. He managed 1100m of the 1600. There's a MASSIVE difference between 1100m and 1600m

Fact. 54 people actually did finish and are therefore better placed to write something like this

In my opinion you earn the right to write something like he did. By his own admission he didn't train and he didn't finish. Therefore he didn't earn the right. That's my opinion and I stand by it. I meant no disrespect and maybe I should have PM'ed him rather than comment on here but this is a forum and we are all allowed to have opinions right?

Sorry, but what a load of codswallop

Since when do you have to "earn the right" to share a cycling experience on social media? Myles didn't claim to do something he didn't do, he didn't misrepresent the experience - he told us about his weekend as he experienced it.

Cannot imagine how in your mind a DNF in an event disqualifies you from sharing your experiences of that event.

You keep on harping about the 54 people who would be better qualified to write race reports while totally missing the irony that none of them bothered to, maybe if we can encourage people to tell their cycling stories rather than bashing them with arbitrary made-up rules we would have more cycling stories on thehub and less virtual handbags
