I have just swopped to Sportful bibs, well priced and really comfy even on longer rides

Sportful...thank me later

I'm lazy and haven't googled it.  Where can you buy Sportful bibs?

I have not tried the Assos, but are finding the mid range Pearl Izumi's really good:

PEARL IZUMI ELITE IN-R-COOL BIB SHORT

From Buycycle.co.za.

They feel good over a good 4-5 hours on the bike. With a little chammy cream, they are fine for 10 hours off road. They have decent chammy and good strong elastic. I find many of others loosen up after a month or two, these remain tight.

22 years of cycling

Cannondale bibs

Cuore

Assos S7

Panda

Ciovita

Nalini

Cyclone

Out of all these, the Assos and Ciovita are my favourites

I own 4 pairs of Ciovita and one pair Assos.

Basically sums up which one I like the most ;)

Ciovita all the way.

The distinction with Assos is that it lasts for several seasons

And I ride lots both on the black and brown stuff

Good to know you guys actually have more than one Clover kit. With the amount of mileage you do one set would be fckd in a quarter.

Several shops in Jhb (inc Cyclelab). Northcliff Cycles has good prices on Sportful products.

Not sure about Centurion....

I only do local.

Anatomic have served me well.

No reason for me to change.

After this endorsement and your Munga exploits (including quality control testing with toothpaste), the brand should sponsor you. ????????

I love the fit of the ciovita, but i think some improvement on the pads would make it much better. I recently bougt 3 pair of the fox bibs omnico sells and the pads are basically identical to the older s5 mille assos bibs. At R750 a pair these are my favorite at the moment.

Buy the best you can afford (lookout for the sales!)

Have moved over to Assos recently and very impressed thus far. That said, I also have pairs of Anatomic, Sportful and Indola Enduro still serving me well.

Everybody here will try to convince you that their preferred brand is best, but with time your bum will let you know what it prefers!
