strava premium is nice, but the freebie with stravastix is totally adequate. they made the free version too good. there's lots of ways they can limit the functionality to make premium of value. but it's too late now. #sorriforyou

What would be a really nice addition?

< > buttons... to move from one activity to another, without having to return to the feed or training log/calendar on the header.

I'm sure they've looked at this.

I'd be happy to pay for strava

$8/month - ~R100/month R1200 per year

no thanks, i wouldn't want to pay more than R200/year. sure i'm cheap but i don't see the value in upgrading

Strava. Perfect case study of a great product/service let down by a bad business model,

In what way? I have been premium for years and think it’s great value

Because they don't sell enough premium memberships. The incentive to go premium is not enough to warrant huge numbers, and Premium is only revenue stream.

Wait untill they decide to phase out the free version. Millions of people will have all their training/racing stats on there

Not unless you have a dedicated GPS device.

I wonder what the smartphone/dedicated device ratio is.

I paid (and I fecking hate Strava) for a Premium membership for myself as the live segments on my road bike I found helped my climbing (I'm a crap climber).

But I'm about to spend the money for my assistant as I know he'd love it too.

I'm not saying it's value for money, but those live segments are cool on the climbs to challenge yourself.
